It's okay. You can use those descriptors. They're just words, and they do describe me pretty well, after all. Yes, I'm a geek. I think that computers are cool, I'd rather surf the net than watch a ball game, I play that Dungeons & Dragons game, I can name all of the captains of the U.S.S. Enterprise and I can tell you how many times the line, "May the Force be with you." was uttered in the course of five Star Wars films. I've finally come to grips with the fact that, as my wife lovingly points out every chance she gets, I am a geek. I'm proud of it. I revel in my geekdom!

As for crazy, that one fits me too. I am completely insane. I'm the person who leaps out of a perfectly good hot air balloon with only a few lengths of elastic to support me. I rock climb without ropes or safety gear. I ride my bike without a helmet. I'm the kind of person who would walk into an establishment in which shirt and shoes are required wearing a shirt and shoes, but no pants. I live life on the edge and I like it that way, thank you very much.

There's a downside, too. I suffer from clinical depression, for which I take medication, and not all my days are good ones. Fortunately, I've got a loving family, a good doctor, and a very understanding wife who is willing to stand by me on the good days and the bad ones. The medication helps a lot, and most days are at least bearable, but sometimes the road gets long and I get weary. At those times, it's the support of my friends and family that helps me keep going.

© 1999-2003 www.barrysclipart.comAh, but you didn't come here to hear about me. Hmmm. Well, okay, actually you did. So what else can I say? Let's see, I'm a Sagittarius, which means that I like to travel and I enjoy living la vida loca, I am a practitioner of Wicca, and I think that naturism should be a national pastime. I work as a web designer and network administrator at the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium in Ocean Springs, MS and you can view some of my "professional" work at that link (shameless plug). My hobbies include role-playing games, science-fiction and fantasy (told you I was a geek), bike riding, swimming, writing, and, of course, web design. About the only kind of music I absolutely despise is gangsta rap (because I © 2003 Crystal Cloud Graphicsbelieve that anyone can stand and swear into a mike) and I love horror novels and horror films. Finally, I absolutely hate the vast majority of the "reality" shows that are out there. I say, if you want to see a real "Survivor" show, stick 'em in the wilds of Africa with no food or water and see who emerges in three weeks.

I guess that covers the basics, if you want to know more, then write to me and ask. I'll put it in the FAQ (accessible through the menu up there at the top). If you can't see the menu, then you probably need to enable java on your browser.
